Digital Atlas of
Indonesian History
by Robert Cribb, Australian National University
  • Updated electronic version of Robert Cribb’s landmark Historical Atlas of Indonesia

  • JPEG images plus text for over 50 maps suitable for use in class-room teaching (e.g. in Powerpoint presentations)

  • Over 300 maps output as high-resolution EPS files suitable for royalty-free reproduction in scholarly publications

  • Prepared with critical feedback from a panel of interested scholars

Includes an updated electronic version of Robert Cribb’s landmark Historical Atlas of Indonesia, with JPEG images plus text for over 50 maps provided in a form suitable for use in classroom teaching or at lectures (e.g. PowerPoint presentations), and over 300 maps that have been output as high-resolution EPS files suitable for reproduction in scholarly publications. Uniquely, any such use of the imgaes is royalty-free.

There has been much praise for Cribb’s Historical Atlas of Indonesia. However, many were disappointed that a paperback edition - or one otherwise suitable for classroom teaching - did not follow. This should be remedied with the publication of the Digital Atlas of Indonesian History, an updated electronic version of the Historical Atlas plus a huge array of maps and text designed for teaching and individual use, delivered on CD together with a 64-page reference guide.

This will be an essential resource for scholars and teachers of Indonesian history.
